The Website

ptoone.com was started in early 2005 by Illustrator/French polisher Perry Toone as a way to showcase and sell “ptoone French polished artwork” and illustrations. The site has made thousands of sales over the years and been adapted many times to what it is today thanks to my self taught web design abilities. I have also enjoyed designing other websites whist blogging about interesting and useful topics along the way.

The Artist

A visual break dancer of vector techniques, ptoone creates hundreds of vector illustrations a year for commercial and comic purposes. Applying traditional techniques to modern day computer graphics software, an optical carnival of old and new. The Art

Each piece of original artwork is created using this ancient method of layering smooth coloured and transparent polish, allowing each layer to dry independently. Using only the earth’s natural pigments for colour, these stunning pieces offer remarkable depth and visual amazement. The dynamic bold composition will make a positive statement in any contemporary space. Each tone and hue will vary depending on the source and type of light. A technique accomplished without the use of interference mediums, which tend to decay pieces over time.
